If you are lucky enough to have a Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, you are also unlucky in that accessories for this device are scarce at the moment.
You can buy a £2-3 wave silicone style case as shown quite easily but in my opinion it is ugly. There are now a few more styles, a yellow back style that provides less protection and when in stock Samsung have their fake leather looking case. The official fake leather Samsung case is in transit, and photos will follow shortly. There are other styles coming soon along and hopefully spare batteries which for a camera phone are needed.
The yellow back case shown , is more stylish than the black silicone case but does offers less protection. The top and bottom of the case is open and the buttons are exposed as opposed to the black silicone wave style where everything is covered and offers a lot of protection. Also, this case is too slippery. So even though the black case looks ugly it provides better grip and protection.
One other style of case made by Araree is Autopop, where even the lens is covered on the K Zoom, and pops open when you activate the camera.
Hopefully, I will be able to get hold of a number of different styles and do a quick comparison between them.
Yesterday I received a rubberised case for the HTC One, as mentioned in my article yesterday.
The design and colour was superb, but after a while felt uncomfortable to hold as the sides were not as smooth as I first thought. Also, there is no cut out for the sim tray.
Well today’s post brought 4 more cases. First was the hard suede finish case from eBay . I got this in 3 colours. Black with the silver is stunning. Also has cutout for sim tray and is comfy to hold. See photos.
And in green.
And in grey.
I also got another similar grey case from eBay but branded. This came in fancy packaging. The screen protector was superb. Its actually fitted in the above photo of the black case.Photo below of MF case.
And finally from Belkin, their clear matt silicone case. Comfy to hold, overlaps front screen slightly for better protection, but doesn’t look as sexy.
So as this is the HTC One here is a video highlight of the cases.
Following Apple’s change to the new lightning connector it has taken some time for lightning accessories to appear. Battery cases are now appearing and below are just a few.
uNu’s DX Protective Case for iphone 5 costs $80 and will come in both black and white , with a 2300mAh battery built-in. It’s a slider case, with a removable top and a Lightning plug integrated into the bottom portion of the case.
Meridian iPhone 5 Battery Case costing a similar amount, from Lenmar is similar to uNu’s option. With a 2200mAh cell, it’ll be available in white and black, as well as metallic red.
ThirdRail’s Battery System for iPhone 5 has a removable battery that snaps in place and can be stacked with others for extra power. The battery is 1650mAh. This should cost $100.
