Sony moves into the drone business – video

If you are struggling to sell phones, what do you sell next? Drones is clearly the way forward. Well Sony seems to want to explore this arena.

Sony has been developing the drone with a Tokyo robotics firm under its collaborative company called Aerosense. The UAV can carry up to 22 pounds, fly continuously for two hours at a speed of 106 miles per hour and, as you can see in the video below the fold, take off and land vertically like a helicopter. It can also be fitted with a range of measuring equipment, ideal for business customers.

Android Pay and Samsung Pay launch dates – details

android pay

At the moment Apple has had a decent head start with Apple Pay. But will Apple’s advantage of being first with a proper solution be the key to future success. Well, we are about to find out.

A leaked screen from a MacDonalds computer shows the date for Android Pay and Samsung Pay as going live on 26th and 21st August 2015 respectively. That’s this week. At the moment, it only seems like it applies to the US, but I hope the UK is not far behind.

If you had a phone capable of mobile payments, would you use it? And how would you feel if you phone got stolen if you were using it for financial transactions?

It’s hard to believe, that while Samsung is reducing onboard storage by only offering 32gb or 64gb storage options on its new Samsung S6 Edge Plus and Note 5, Asus goes and announces a phone with 256gb built in storage.

So what is this new phone. It’s the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition. The phone. It has a 5.5-inch display, a 64-bit Intel Atom processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 13MP rear camera, along with a 5MP front-facing camera.

LG G4 – RAW photo post processed in Lightroom 6

Just a quick photo I took in my village this morning. I used the default LG G4 camera app in manual mode, shot in RAW and post processed it Adobe Lightroom 6. I am still learning how to use Lightroom 6, but even using some of the basics features, it truly is incredible what can be achieved with your photos.

Of course, it does help having a phone like the LG G4 that takes such amazing shots!

It is no surprise with Windows 10 just having become available for the masses, that it is time for Microsoft to fire back with some new cool hardware.

So what’s expected –

– The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4
– Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL
– Microsoft Band 2
– Maybe a revised Xbox.

So is there a possibility that a new phone from Microsoft will be one to look forward too?
