Samsung Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus – Press Shots and Specs

As we get closer to the next Samsung Unpacked even on 13th August, more information about the Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus are getting released.

Evleaks on twitter revealed that Note 5 will will have a 5.66-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM, and Exynos 7420 SoC (4×2.1GHz+4×1.5GHz). The phone will come with the same 16MP rear-facing camera and 5MP front-facing camera as the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It will come with Android 5.1.1 pre-loaded and start at 32GB of internal storage. The phone will not include expandable storage.

Two new Sony phones have been leaked both of which are mid range devices.

The Xperia C5 Ultra – 6 inch 1080p screen, 2gb ram, 16gb storage. Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor, selling for around $350.

The Xperia M5 – 5 inch 1080p screen, 16gb storage, 3gb ram, MediaTek Helio X10 processor. Selling for around $400.

On Monday, Sony has a big announcement. So stay tuned for details.

Sony Xperia Z4 – First photos of Sony’s new flagship – updated

Sony has yet to reveal its hand on its new Sony Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone, but if the tweet by @onleaks is anything to go by it is following the same body language as the Z3. Dimensions are meant to be 146.3 x71.9 x7.2mm. To be honest, this styling should not come as a surprise to anyone.

LG G4 – LG’s new Flagship – photos

Twitter user @onleaks have been revealing a number of apparent renders of the upcoming new LG G4. The new flagship from LG is meant to feature a metal based body, slightly curved and a overhaul of the LG software package. Some dimensions were also shared, with the LG G4 coming in at 148.9 x 76.5 x 9.9mm. The LG G3 is 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm meaning the LG G4 is larger than the outgoing LG G3. Also the camera looks significantly larger, maybe a 20mp affair.

So based on the photo renders, would you prefer this to the Samsung Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9?

Samsung Galaxy S6 – the real deal caught on camera – photos – updated now 9 shots

Reefer on XDA seems to have got his hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S6, and as and when he can he is publishing photos of the new phone. The S6 does not have a micro sd slot or a removable battery according to these shots. If anything new gets revealed I will update this post.

The Latest Photos & New Information on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

First let’s talk about the Samsung Galaxy S6.

The new Samsung Galaxy S6 as shown above is a 5.1 inch screen with an all metal body. This means no user replaceable battery. The remaining specs should be 2K display, a 2.1GHz Samsung Exynos 7240 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32+ GB of storage, a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Bloomberg has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will definitely have 2 curved edged panels. This is going to be one hot handset. Based on my time with the Note Edge I do hope the battery lasts longer too.

I personally can’t wait to see both of these phones and get my hands on them for a proper review.

Sony Xperia Z3 & Z3 Compact – real photos, colours incl gold and specs plus Smart Band showing e-ink display

The Sony Z3 will pack a 4.6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a Snapdragon 801 processor with four cores clocked at 2.5GHz, the latest Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, front-facing stereo speakers, a 20.7-megapixel Exmor R camera, and, finally, a1 2300 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The Compact will have the latest build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Looks really good and makes a change from the huge android phones.

And now here’s the Z3 (full size) in a gold version. Also the new smartband with an e ink display.
