One of the coolest filter apps Prisma which launched only on iOS is now available on android. Above is a photo of my dog Tiggy and in the distance Fury.
What is Prisma? From the developer –
“Be an artist! Turn your photos into awesome artworks:
– Modern art filters!
– Stunning photo effects
– Fast sharing
Prisma transforms your photos into artworks using the styles of famous artists: Munk, Picasso as well as world famous ornaments and patterns. A unique combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence helps you turn memorable moments into timeless art.”
Tip – In the app settings you can turn off the Prisma watermark.
However, there are at least 30 fake Prisma apps on the Google Play Store. Below is the official link to Prisma on the Google Play Store. Enjoy.

From a technical perspective, I think it’s fantastic.
You do need to have the right source photograph though to get a good result.
Also – it’s a tough one – I’ve had results where’d I’d say “that looks like it has been painted I’d hang that on my wall”, but then, knowing that it was an algorithm that created it slightly takes away from it a bit.
With filters, it’s slightly different in that the photo is about 10% the filter and 90% the photographer, but with Prisma it’s quite far removed from the source material.
I’m just rambling, but I do think what they’ve achieved is quite brilliant (much like MSQRD, it has that initial wow factor).
