When something goes wrong and the S6 Edge starts radiating heat, the battery just free falls. Screen on time is 14 mins.
Somehow, 17 hours usage remaining is far too optimistic.
The only cure is to reboot the phone to stop the rogue app or process. When it does get this warm and the battery plummets you will notice performance lags a lot.
All this happened after I got an error message saying Google Play Services had stopped.
The software update to fix these memory bugs can’t come soon enough.

My S6 just had awful battery life most of the time and then one one or two days would have pretty decent life – I’m reading so many differing opinions on the web about how well the battery holds up that I’m convinced memory leaks/5.0.2 has something to do with the lack of consistency.

How long have you had the unit? Also, the EDGE series ALWAYS has shit battery life. It takes about 36 hours for the unit to “break in” & about a Week to gove you an accurate number based on your usage.

I’ve! had it since first day of release so over a month easily. Battery life is ok except when something like today happens

I’ve had that heating thing a couple of times when in poor signal area and having various email syncs working in the background. But when in a good signal area I get very good battery life.
