Apple’s New iPhones To Be Delivered To U.K. Retailers For September 20 Launch.

Apple will begin delivering its new iPhones to retailers in the United Kingdom ahead of the handset’s launch on Friday, September 20, according to sources close to courier companies who have been speaking to The Telegraph. The Cupertino company has reportedly scheduled two “bookings” in anticipation of the early demand.

No surprises about this. September 10th can’t come soon enough.

Apple has just sent out media invitations for its September 10 media event where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation iPhone hardware. The event will begin at 10:00 am Pacific Time and will be held at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.

HTC news – new colour HTC One, Desire 300 and 601

If you thought the red HTC One looked good, cyan blue is the new colour and it looks great.

HTC have also annouced the HTC Desire 601 a 4.5-inch LCD screen with qHD resolution, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 dual-core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM, five-megapixel main camera, and features the latest version of HTC Sense with BlinkFeed, plus all the camera features, including HTC Zoe and video highlights. Available in Europe in September, with three colour options (white, black and red), as well as LTE support.

The HTC Desire 300 is a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, and a promise of October availability in select markets. Storage is 4GB, expandable, and the main shooter is a five-megapixel one. Photo below.

Microsoft to buy Nokia

Microsoft has agreed a deal to buy Nokia’s mobile phone business for 5.4bn euros ($7.2bn; £4.6bn).

Nokia will also license its patents and mapping services to Microsoft.

The companies said that the deal would be finalised in early 2014, when about 32,000 Nokia employees will transfer to Microsoft.

Probably the best move Microsoft had left to compete in the mobile space. Explains Bullmer leaving to allow Elop to come back and take charge.

But what we need is quick innovative ideas and great market leading products.

And this move probably ended BlackBerry as we know the company.

First 4K video recording phone – and it’s by Acer

Acer announced the 6-inch Liquid S2 with 4K recording capability, a full HD IPS display and a Snapdragon 800 processor.The device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED ring flash along with a 2MP front shooter capable of 1080p video, 2gb ram, 2,300 man battery and 4G. Acer also loaded up the S2 with several software enhancements on the camera side :quick first shot, favorite mode which lets you create up to five profiles with customized settings and effects.

Just who has a 4K TV to replay back those photos! And a 6 inch phone is just too big to use as a phone.

Leaked dates of new smartphone releases on Three UK

With all the new phones being announced, it would be ideal if there was some idea of release dates. Three UK has had leaked its release dates by an anonymous Engadget.

Nokia Lumia 1020 – 25th September
Sony Xperia Z1 – 24th September
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – 16th September
Sony Xperia Z Ultra – 9th September

And this just leaves the iPhone 5S by the end of this month hopefully.
