Sunday evening I accidentally deleted my entire Yahoo email. Every single email and permanently. I thought I was deleting the trash, but actually I had deleted my inbox of every email going back 2 years. This moved the email from the inbox to the trash. So I wondered why the trash had not deleted so tried again. And voila. Success. I had deleted the trash permanently and as I realised a few minutes later every single email as my inbox was empty.

So after a quick search, I realised it was possible to send a request within 24 hours to Yahoo and ask them to restore your emails. I got an auto reply saying they had received my email, and 12 hours later, my Yahoo email inbox came rushing back to life with 2 years worth of emails.

Now that’s what I call “lucky”.
