I used this phone for about a month and in the end I gave it up, albeit regretfully. I agree with your conclusion: great phone, but wrong size.
I dont understand why Microsoft keeps mucking about. They dont need so many designs and models – this one was perfect, all the parts were great: interface, camera, AMOLED screen, battery etc. All they needed to do was scale this down to a Galaxy S4 or S5 size package, dont make any stupid substitutions of parts or intentional crippling – and they’ve got a killer phone that will sell in huge volume.
Being a 2nd tier player competitor in this sector, they should really have very few models and focus on building scale by overdelivering on a few well picked products. Too many models is a recipe for their death. But I dont see that they grasp this at all.
