Fight – Apple vs Samsung Eco Systems

In my left corner, I have the Samsung NotePro 12.2 inch tablet, Samsung Note 4 and Samsung Gear S.

Preparing to take aim in the opposite corner is the iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple watch. Of course we can also include the MAC. Since the Apple Watch isn’t available I will have to make some assumptions based on leaked information and that provided by Apple.

So for the next 2 weeks or so, I am running an experiment. I will have the Samsung tablet, watch and phone working together and see how everything compares to the Apple experience. I will also produce a brief price chart to compare the cost versus the experience.

Any thoughts?

  1. Repeating myself. There are no Note 4 reviews that cover the business functionality that is security and stylus support. Most reviews only focus on the overlap features of a iPhone 6 Plus. Also I have never seen a review of the HD music playback which does not require special software on the Note 4. For the watch I find people are very interested in the curved screen of the Gear Fit and the Gear S is also curved. Again many reviews underplay the technology. But when we first had retina displays we had a lot of focus on technology. Many reviews ignore Samsung technology differences (like higher resolution even though it is obvious in devices like the LG G3) and under value these over features of software of Apple products. People buy hardware and software. And don’t forget new Airdroid gives us near Continuity like features on Android.
