Samsung Note 4 – incoming review

I got a chance to spend a bit more time with the Note 4 yesterday and still am left in two minds over this phablet. It is definitely a step up from the Note 3 which I adored, but I feel Samsung’s phablet space is well and truly invaded by Apple with its iPhone 6 Plus.

However, to give the Note 4 a fair crack at the whip, I have one en route which should arrive at some point next week.

So if you have any questions please let me know and I will try and answer them in my review of the Note 4.

  1. Gavin I am looking forward to your review as your reviews are comprehensive. There is a lot of functionality and it does feel well designed. I don’t drink but the Note 4 feels like a good wine that is I think it’ll get better once we become more mature users.

      1. The music reproduction surprises me. Using the Google music app instead of Samsung’s one. The music feels more involving and I’m listening to all music all over again. Didn’t expect this.

      1. I prefer them over the ones you have as the sound has better impact when required. Bluetooth quality is excellent. Even though no aptx. In fact they sound much better than all my aptx enabled cans.

    1. Thanks for link. I have read most of the big ticket online and newspaper early reviews. Most are repetitve nonsense just repeating the press information. Exception is android central and from memory also android police. I have also ready many forums for owners real thoughts and very quickly you can start seeing a true piture of the phones strengths and weaknesses. I will decide for myself whatever happens.

      1. Appreciate what you are saying. But I’ve never read a review from someone expert in use of the Note features. I use my Note 10.1 2014 every day and there are very few people online who talk about how to use the multi tasking and organisation features of the Note range. A minority interest I feel.

  3. Just discovered what I think is a new feature on the Note. If you sync S Note of Active note with Evernote then you can launch S Note etc directly from Evernote. You also get a mini map of the notes in a particular entry. Very handy.
