I was re reading the specifications of the upcoming Samsung K Zoom versus the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and despite the K Zoom increasing the camera to 20.7mp versus 16mp on the S4 Zoom, I noticed more information on the camera.
The K Zoom pixel size is smaller than the S4 Zoom at 1.12 microns. That is the same size as the pixels in the S5 smartphone.
I really hope low light shots don’t become a disaster. Anyway, this video by Samsung does make it very compelling.
The trouble with this ‘camera’ is by making it have a skinnier body that should be more pocketable than its predecessor what Samsung have actually done in turn is take away a vital part of a camera; it’s ability to take steady shots at over 1 second or more…… and why, well because unlike its predecessor the K Zoom does not have a tripod mount.
So, forget low light shooting where you want a better ISO at the expense of a longer time required to shoot or those shots of water looking blurry whilst everything else is in pin-sharp focus.

I noticed that too. Seems a huge mistake. Luckily I have a generic phone tripod mount.
