Homescreens – Layouts

Having had a bit of time between the turkey and puddings I tweaked my iPhone 5S home screens. First applications –

And then my second home screen for my games. I keep a folder for the Moga Ace Power iOS compatible games as well.

However, on my Moto G , I have a simpler layout. 2 widgets and a few apps.

What sort of home screen do you prefer?

    1. I don’t think so. The only thing you could do is link to the photo. Not sure if something like image shack would work. WordPress don’t allow it. It’s a security thing apparently.

Btw are you still using the Z1? If so how is the camera now?

      1. Thanks Gav, as I thought.

Re the Z1 ~ yep! still using it and have to say although still waiting for 4.3 let alone Kit Kat but since applying 4.2.2 the .257 which fixed a number of issues including the camera I’m pretty well happy.
However, I’ve recently grown to like the app ‘A Better Camera’ which has quite a few neat tricks up its sleeve including Panorama at full resolution, Expo-Bracketing, HDR+, Preshot, Custom Shot and many others…..
It’s currently on offer at the moment with 70% off its price and well worth the purchase.
The only downside with it though is Sony locked out third-party apps from using the likes of Custom ISO. The app itself supports changing ISO but on the Z1 the option is greyed out.
My brother on his Note 3 though can happily change ISO values.

      2. That’s good to hear. I’m tempted to get the Z1 again. I want to also get the special QX10/100 case for the Z1. A cool setup and good news the upcoming firmware will make the QX100 actually very useful.

Now to check out that app 🙂

      3. Just bought that app along with the in app upgrades. Always handy to have a good app. I tried it with the Moto G. HDR mode snapping towards kitchen window. It did an incredible job. Really incredible.

      4. Nice one Gavin.
Yes the Dev is very keen and listens.

If you try the Night shot try this:-
        1. Select Night.
        2. Tap on Hi-Res until you activate the High-Res mode
        3. Now take a shot….
You will notice it will be longer so keep the phone as still as possible but you will be utterly amazed at just how clear the shot is on such a low light.
