Its a lovely phone. Blue and green are the best colours. The finish is stunning. I prefer style over the 5S.
Pink and white don’t look great.
Yellow is middle of the road.
During the launch at the Apple store nobody seemed to be buying it.
Maybe too expensive.
What do you think.
The iphone is a premium product so even if the 5c is not cheap it is not a premium product. The 5c will not be as successful as the original colourful imac.

Seems odd that a phone that is essentially the same as the 5 it replaces is too expensive at £60 less for the base model. But i take the point. I don’t think the price differential between the 5C and the 5S is enough

I can definitely sense some stigma attached to the 5C amongst gadget fans from forums. Not having the cutting edge components or metal chassis of the S model coupled with people’s mindset as it being the cheap device work against it. In the wider world I would guess that people will love it. Those who just upgrade at the end of their contract each time rather than chase tech on launch day are far less worried about this type of thing.
My current two smartphones, a HTC One and Lumia 920 leads me to prefer the 5C in all honesty. For one, I find the 5S design a little uninspiring now, merely an extension on the 4 design which to be fair is a classic but seems to have been around for years. Been there, done that springs to mind… Then there’s the practicality. My HTC One feels like a fragile ornament compared to my Lumia which I feel I can throw in bags and pockets, put on surfaces and not worry about scratches. In an ideal world a durable 5C with the internals of a 5S would be my next iPhone. In green or blue…

Went to the Reading Apple Store to have a play with the new IPhone 5c. The UI is clean but not that impressed with the speed in use. And note sure I like the animations. The 5s looks impressive from hardware perspective.
