I took these photos the other day on the HTC One. Just thought I would share them with you all. It’s not the full resolution but you get the idea on quality. Just for reference there is a new camera firmware due soon which is meant to improve the camera a fair bit. However, for now here is a sample shot that I adore.

Point of correction: there is no camera firmware update coming. That was widely reported, however the site it came from swiftly corrected that, and unfortunately their retraction has not been widely reported.

is the guy talking about new firmware 1.29.401.5 (old one 1.28.401.7) so maybe there it will be true… who knows

Last news i heard is that there will be a firmware update, there are some problems with the Exif data. ISO value’s aren’t correct in the Exif on the ONE / ONE X / and some other. Hopefully the quality of the daylight picture also will be improved, but i think it shoots nice pictures with this firmware!

So far using the default settings I have been happy with the results. Hopefully over time any update will help too.
