Samsung confirms how to get shutter control on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge plus RAW support latest

I wrote to Samsung asking information on when shutter control and raw support would be added to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Below is a response from Samsung (screen shot of email).

Naturally,  I’ve emailed Samsung back trying to be as polite as possible and request proof via a screen shot from their S6 using the camera app , as there is definitely no shutter setting in Pro mode on my S6 Edge.

Samsung’s Experience Stores received display stock of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Unfortunately,  they are not allowed to display them until Saturday.

So if you’re near one of the Samsung Experience Stores this Saturday and thereafter,  go have a play with the new phones. You next decision will be deciding on which version,  edge of straight and then the colour.

20 million pre orders already for the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

“Samsung received some 20 million pre-orders for the S6 and S6 Edge — 15 million of S6 and five million of the S6 Edge from mobile carriers, worldwide. This is the record,” a top executive at major European carrier told The Korea Times.

Note this is sales to mobile carriers not end customers. However,  this is still a huge quantity of sales.

It will also be interesting to see if carriers decide to sell or the different memory and colour options.

The UK release date is pegged for April 10th 2015.
