Customers will be able to take out “shockproof” 4G contracts from £7.50 per month, which are automatically capped to “avoid nasty surprises”, according to the mobile phone retailer.

For example, those opting for the £7.50 “shockproof” plan will get 150 minutes, 5,000 texts and 250MB of data and a Lumia 635 smartphone for no up-front cost. The company is also offering a selection of “takeaway” plans from £25.50 per month for 24 months, which include free roaming in 22 countries.
SIM-only plans are available from £7.50 per month, along with data-only plans from £5 per month. One deal includes unlimited data, 2,000 minutes and 5,000 texts for £20 per month at launch.

Finally, Carphone Warehouse is offering a selection of “go to” plans, offering generous data allowances. 12 month plans start from £13.50 per month and 24 month plans from £11.50 per month.
For example, those opting for 12 month “go to” plan for £19.50 per month will get 300 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB of data and a Samsung A3 smartphone for no up-front cost. “iD gives increased flexibility and value to customers who are getting increasingly frustrated with the ‘one size fits all’ approach,” said Graham Stapleton, UK chief executive at Carphone Warehouse. “Launching with a range of plans – including 12 and 24 month contracts alongside 30 day options – means we can offer solutions based on how customers actually use their mobile phone.” iD will also offer SIM only plans with unlimited data for example unlimited data, 2000 minutes and 5000 texts for £20 per month.”

As iD Mobile uses the Three UK network, would you rather use iD or Three itself?
