The HTC One M8 is 90% metal unibody design. It is up against competitors from Samsung and Sony who claim their phones are IP67 and IP68 respectively. For this rating you have flaps to contend with. But what about the HTC One M8.
Fact 1 – the HTC One M8 is rated IPx3, which protects it from everyday use in rainy or damp conditions.
Fact 2 – The HTC One M8 IPx3 rating means it’s protected from water spray up to 60 degrees at 10l per minute, pressure of 80-100kN/m2 up to 5 mins.
Clearly not at the level of IP67/68 but certainly worth noting.
