Just look at the size of the camera sensor too? This was a screen shot from a video Google used to launch the new kitkat model. The video was removed quickly once the supposed error was realised.
Looks like the new Sony Z1 (Honami) but its a Nexus 5.

Asus unveils new FonePad 7 with upgraded processor, camera and speakers
ASUS has announced the new FonePad 7, which features a 7-inch 1280 x 800 display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera with an F2.4 lens, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card support of up to 64GB.
The new version has an enhanced processor, camera, and dual-front speakers with Sonic Master technology.
HTC news – new colour HTC One, Desire 300 and 601
If you thought the red HTC One looked good, cyan blue is the new colour and it looks great.
HTC have also annouced the HTC Desire 601 a 4.5-inch LCD screen with qHD resolution, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 dual-core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM, five-megapixel main camera, and features the latest version of HTC Sense with BlinkFeed, plus all the camera features, including HTC Zoe and video highlights. Available in Europe in September, with three colour options (white, black and red), as well as LTE support.
The HTC Desire 300 is a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB of RAM, and a promise of October availability in select markets. Storage is 4GB, expandable, and the main shooter is a five-megapixel one. Photo below.
Microsoft to buy Nokia

Microsoft has agreed a deal to buy Nokia’s mobile phone business for 5.4bn euros ($7.2bn; £4.6bn).
Nokia will also license its patents and mapping services to Microsoft.
The companies said that the deal would be finalised in early 2014, when about 32,000 Nokia employees will transfer to Microsoft.
Probably the best move Microsoft had left to compete in the mobile space. Explains Bullmer leaving to allow Elop to come back and take charge.
But what we need is quick innovative ideas and great market leading products.
And this move probably ended BlackBerry as we know the company.
Leaked dates of new smartphone releases on Three UK
With all the new phones being announced, it would be ideal if there was some idea of release dates. Three UK has had leaked its release dates by an anonymous Engadget.
Nokia Lumia 1020 – 25th September
Sony Xperia Z1 – 24th September
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – 16th September
Sony Xperia Z Ultra – 9th September
And this just leaves the iPhone 5S by the end of this month hopefully.
Xiaomi just hit 1 Billion App Store downloads
And they secured former Android icon Hugo Barra from Google. Xiaomi announced that they have reached 1 billion downloads from their MIUI app store in one year. Xiaomi’s UI is based on Android firmware.
Since the company launched its MIUI app store, it has gained over 17 million active users with over 1.3 million daily searches. Add 5 million daily downloads and its certainly one to watch.
Revisited – The iPhone 3GS 8gb
Above is the svelte curves of the iPhone 3GS running iOS 6. Soon Apple is to release the new iPhone, the 5S. This will make the 3GS over 3 years old. So in this revisited article, how does the 3GS hold up against the current crop of smartphones including the current iPhone 5.
First up, in my opinion the 3GS is the most comfortable phone to hold. Just look at the back and the lovely curves. I prefer this shape over the 4/4S and 5. However, after that the 3GS starts to get punished by its competition. The screen is a low resolution affair, that is no retina screen. But it still allows for calls and apps to run. However, as iOS 7 arrives, this will be the first time it won’t receive an update to the latest operating system. That means that new apps/games or app updates will likely start not to support this older model. However, if you have all the apps you require, you will still have a great functioning phone.
The camera is low quality and it shows with noisy photos. Compare that to the iPhone 5 and it is not a fair comparison. The 3GS is really slow opening and closing apps. And it is noticeably slow. But again, if you don’t know any different, then you just adjust. The cell signal and GPS signal are not as powerful as receiving coverage as say the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4. GPS signal often drops when trying to use this in the car.
In reality, if you own a 3GS and it does everything you want, then that is great. But in tech terms it is really starting to show it age. Only one week to go now before Apple unveils its new iPhone(s).

Sony lens modules revealed in all their glory
Photo rumours has posted detailed pics of Sony’s new lens module. Also shown attached to the new Sony smartphone. This lens module is also meant to work with the new iPhone too. The lens connects via NFC or WiFi and uses the phones screen as the view finder.
Could be a clever way to take great photos but how will battery life be affected.
