Shot on an iPhone – a 45.29 second long exposure photo

Postbridge Bridge #LongExposureMode #NightcapPro #raw

Sometimes software really impresses me. I have talked a lot about ProCamera+, but there is another photography app that seems to perform miracles and that is Nightcappro. There is a free version Nightcap that allows you to get a taste of what the app can achieve.

For the above shot (click on photo to be taken to the original), I changed the settings in Nightcappro to long exposure mode, placed my iPhone 6S Plus on my tripod. My iPhone is attached to the tripod using a Shoulderpod S1. I then increased the photo quality to raw (TIFF).I then pressed the shutter button and watched the time increase and the photo start to create the silky water effect. 45.29 seconds later I stopped the shutter and voila. A perfect shot!

To see more of what Nightcap app can produce, have a look at the developers gallery.

  1. Hi Gavin,
    I like your site,
But not any more the way it comes to my tablet:
Takes 1-2 minutes to appear and is almost impossible to look and read.
Some photos as this bridge is huge as hell but the text so small impossible to read.
On my phone all is working fine.

      1. Ok.
The problem is not only file size 2,7 mt.
        Real problem is how look:
        Big photos unreadable small fonts.
The problem was there perhaps since 1 week.
        Lg tablet, android 4.4, Opera.

      2. Ok. Thanks. I’ll take a look. It might be the others photos were uploaded too in full resolution. The site auto adjusts depending on your device. So on a larger screen it might be trying to load the full image size which on some of these special shots are big. I will see what’s happening and try and improve it.

Thanks again. Really appreciate the feedback!!

    1. The other issue sometimes is when I embed my flickr photos. For some reason, the text I type afterwards is in red. I have no idea how to change it back to black.

Out of interest which tablet are you using? I will see if I can see if there any other issues and get them fixed. Appreciate the feedback too 🙂
