On the left we have the Oppo PM-3 and on the right the Oppo PM-2 headphones.
I’m currently undertaking a comparison with these 2 amazing headphones. Whilst they share many technological firsts and both sound amazing, they are also different in their sound styles and price points. The PM-2’s are double the cost of the PM-3’s and offer an open back construction for the ultimate sound performance. The PM-3’s are closed back to keep your music private to yourself.
A more detailed post will be upcoming in a few weeks with my comparison findings.
In the meantime you can read my individual reviews on each.

Any further thoughts on these Gavin? Which would you ultimately choose?

The PM-2’s are better but twice the price. They are open back so everyone will hear your tunes. The PM-2s with really expensive audio equipment shine. The PM-3’s are closed back keeping your music private. They are easier to drive than the PM-2’s. Pound for pound, the PM-3’s are superb value and would be the ones I would choose over the 2. And the PM-3’s scale up nicely when or if you have more expensive hardware too. PM-3’s are unbeatable value.

Thanks, I got that impression from what you said. I would prefer people couldn’t hear what I was listening to.
