Twitter has updated its direct-messaging feature with an option in your twitter settings that allows you to receive messages from any other user, regardless if you are following them or not.
Personally, I won’t be enabling this feature as I don’t want to end up receiving endless spam. What about yourself?

Can see it being handy – particularly when requesting support from a company on Twitter – avoids the need for them to follow to enable DMs. Can see it being abused though 😉
