Listening to DSD audio files at 176400Hz vs traditional 320 bit mp3 audio files at 44100Hz.
The difference in playback quality is like chalk and cheese. The DSD audio files are on a different planet sonically.
Also note the above screen shot is the new interface for USB Audio Player Pro that just received a major update.
The UAPP app is running on my Note 4, the Note 4 has the Oppo HA-2 Portable Amplifier and DAC connected, with a pair of AKG K702 headphones connected, providing the ultimate portable experience IMO. (providing you like huge looking headphones)
For the review of the Oppo HA-2 scroll down a few posts for the review link.

Hi Gav,
I have a very similar set-up to you. Note 4, Oppo HA-2 and Oppo PM-3’s.
DSD files are, as you say……….on another planet. I am now totally spolied! π

Nice. I’ve been trying Note 4, Ha2, line out into Cayin C5 into AKG K702. Really nice. Btw how are you finding the pm-3?

I like the PM’s a lot! Only played for a couple of hours so no doubt the sound will improve. Separation and soundstage are very good for such a portable headset. The clarity is awesome! Vocals sound really sweet.
Build quality is excellent. They also feel so light on my head and I have no doubt that I will be able to comfortably wear them for several hours.
I too use the USB Audio Pro and the recent upgrade is really good!

Well that’s good to hear. It is so difficult to find an exact match. I’ve found mine. Picked up a pair of AKG K702 on Amazon. Despite needing burn in of 100 hours, from the get go they blew me away. However, I’m using my Note 4, UAPP (agree update is awesome) Oppo HA-2 for it’s DAC, line out to the Cayin C5. I think I like the AKG sound signature. And the bass levels possible are huge when required and as delicate too. I am hoping soon to review the PM 3s, and after hearing your feedback even more eager. The audio buzz is so addictive.

No kidding the audio buzz is addictive! The last 3 months have been a revelation!
I’ve had the PM’s on for 5 hours now and still no discomfort. I can’t get over over the build quality and sheer clarity.
I’ve just been listening to 9Bach and the Tincian album (lossless) and you can hear her intakes of breath between words. The separation is wonderful. Brilliant!
They are like headphones that should cost an awful lot more.
