Yesterday, I mentioned the M8 Prime will have the following –
– waterproofing
– Cat 6 LTE radio – very fast
– Snapdragon 805
– 5.5 inch WQHD screen
– 3gb ram
And the best part is its material. Not aluminum but an aluminium silicon carbide composite. This is a material of silicon carbide particles dispersed in a matrix of aluminium alloy.
And now @evleaks revealed the photos of the rear camera. Note how the rear camera now protrudes. It will be interesting to see what mega pixels this new sensor has become.
My only concern about this device is its potential size. The current HTC One M8 is in phablet territory and this is certainly looking even larger.

Okay… Now I’m interested…. I already had a lot of desires (pun intended one) to get hold of the Prime but that camera has my senses (pun intended two) on full alert.
It’s been a long, long time since my last HTC device (HD2 ~ originally WM but I changed it to Android) and due to Samsung I skipped all the early HTC models (although the wonderful ‘Desire’ did come to my family).
So, with fond memories of HTC from past I have been looking for ages at a way to have another HTC model and the timing for the Prime is just so right for me……
Yes, I still love my Sony Z2 and that I will continue to keep.
No, I have fallen out of love with Samsung so another manufacturer makes it an easier choice.
LG and a few others keep my neck straining over the tech wall to see what is on offer and so far I have resisted the phone charmers, but who knows………
All I do know is the Prime is looking better each and every day.
