What about apps? Like a smartphone, in a smartwatch the apps are important.

That’s true. But realistically how much should a watch do

Why limit what it can do? Innovation is about trying to see how something is useful. If you don’t try you’ll never discover. If it does not work it will die via market forces.

Fair enough. Maybe the watch will replace the phone format eventually. But after owning a Pebble I’m not convinced of this. Maybe Apple will offer something smarter.
