iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have made a huge impact in China, and they’re not even available for pre-order yet.
Despite that Apple’s new iPhones have been reserved 4 million times in China, Fortune reports, and 2 million times in the first six hours.
It will be interesting to see how this translates in to actual sales.
Apple’s shares have fallen today despite record breaking iPhone 6 sales. Why? China Mobile according to Bloomberg will not be offering the new iPhone until 2015. China Mobile is not happy with the huge subsidies from Apple and also Samsung.
iOS 8 arrives today for all existing iPads and iPhones with some exceptions for the older devices. So look forward to a new keyboard and the ability to install third party keyboards too, better sharing and widgets in the notification centre. And there is loads more of course 🙂
One day after sending out invites to press in the US for its iPhone event scheduled for September 10 in Cupertino, Apple has just sent invites to Chinese media outlets inviting press to a special event in the country on September 11.
Not only will it be the first time Apple hosts such an event in China, it is also a good indication that China Mobile, the world’s largest telecom, could soon finally announce a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to its approximately 700M subscribers.
