Currently the gold iPhone 5S is in extreme short demand. Shipping times are in October.

It seems everyone wants a gold iPhone. eBay have pricing for a gold phone at $1,800.

But what if Apple had made available more gold colours at launch. Would everyone really want a gold phone at the same level ?
