I don’t like rumours that much, simply because they rarely are true.

However, the rumour about that an affordable iPhone is on the cards, just keeps coming back. Case manufacturer Tactus reckons the below image is that of the upcoming budget iPhone’s polycarbonate shell, which was spotted at a factory that provides parts to Foxconn.

Compared to the old polycarbonate iPhone 3G and 3GS, this shell appears to have a flat back instead of the old curved one, meaning it should reduce manufacturing complexity and therefore the cost as well.

As I said, it is only a rumour leaked by a case manufacturer, who probably leaked the photo just for the free publicity.

However, if this was the cheap iPhone, would you buy one?
