Ofcom has announced the winners being Everything Everywhere, Hutchison 3G UK, Niche Spectrum Ventures – a BT subsidiary, Telefonica, and Vodafone.

The winning bidders will pay £2.34bn for the spectrum – less than expected.

Ofcom says 4G will provide UK consumers with £20bn of benefits over the next 10 years.
