Hacked!

It’s 2013. More and more news about large companies and Internet services being hacked. Everything from the New York Times, Twitter, Somy and so much more.

In fact they reckon the problem is so severe we may never know the true extent. As cloud services become more and more prevalent what happens when our entire online life is hacked.

Just imagine you have no access to your social media, your email, your stored media (photos, music and important files) and worse you out of control with your financial affairs. Now imagine your hackers not only sell your personal data, but then delete your entire online music and files etc.

Now you might say this wont happen at this level, but actually it already has. Now just think about this scenario but on a global scale. Terrorist attack but online and one that wipes everything out. Sounds dramatic, like the film the Day After Tomorrow. But it does worry me that this could one day happen. And remember hacking technology can also be done on machinery and power stations.

I wonder how easy it would be to recover individually and then to recover on a global scale. What do you think about this?
