Welcome to my LG V30 Audio Review. This review covers the loudspeaker, bluetooth headphones, type c headphones and wired headphones. Over 12 different types of headphones used for the review.
To recap, the LG V30 embraces the 3.5mm headphone jack and adds a Quad Dac. The Quad Dac can drive headphones up to 600 ohms. However, I would recommend up to 300 ohms max and dependant on the sensitivity of the headphone as well. Over 50 ohm headphones trigger the high impedance mode of the Quad Dac to ensure proper amplification. Sub 50 ohms and a wider dynamic range is engaged.
The Quad Dac features high end options from being able to choice digital filters, an equaliser and even supports the new high resolution streaming format MQA.

Hi Gavin! I have recently purchased the LG v30 for streaming Tidalhifi and i would like to ask your advice,please. I am planning to buy a pair of hd 600 headphones to enjoy hi-res music with my LG phone. Does my v30 drive HD 600 properly? As they are low sensitivity 300 ohms headphones,can you still suggest them to use with my V30? If you can not,which headphones would you suggest buying for my V30?
I am planning to buy them on Black Friday this Month.

300 ohms are fairly hard to drive. Especially the HD 600 as they need a lot of voltage as well. You’ll be at the max capacity of the phone. I would recommend headphones up to 150 ohms. You could try it , just might not be loud enough of you listen at high volumes.

May i ask why usb-c connection in my LGv30+ doesn’t play audio in my car or, until now, in any audio system ?? Thanks so much

No idea. The phone has usb audio.

Any specs that can activate it? I live in chile, and here they told me they no support phones not selled here in chile… I use it because its Quad DAC and aprx hd for my tidal masters app, but can’t use it in my car

Change the cable to another one. Get a usb otg adapter driver and connect a cable to the adapter and other end in car.

I’m looking for a good wired in-ear headphones for my LG v30, for like $300-350, which has detachable cable (in case the one will break to replace it) + volume control buttons and mic. And with a good music quality of course (all music genres).
Can you please recommend my few options, which headphones will fit the criterias, I mentioned above?

Hi Alex, not sure TBH. More of an over ear person especially at that price point. You might find with the advancements in technology $250 in all you need to spend as well.
