If you are buying anything on Amazon, please use the link below. This will help support Gavin’s Gadgets with all the running costs and more and won’t be any different in cost. Thanks in advance.
Gavin just I got a pair of Oneplus Icons in ear headphones for £40. Astonishing quality for the price. Bass very well controlled and top end seems to be improving with use. FLAC clearly better than high sample rate Mp3s with this headset.

Good news there. Not a bad price either.

Thanks Gavin.
I mentioned earlier in another blog I was looking for a replacement pair of ‘large ear’ Bluetooth Headphones and was initially thinking of the August EP650. Cost is not an issue but sound, comfort and controls are very important.
I lost a good whack of my hearing years ago and now listen a lot to Podcasts but I love being able to control the headphones if I miss something important and thus like to rewind back just a little. As is often the case I’m no where near the Bluetooth device at that particular time so onboard headphone controls are vital.
I’ve not had a chance to look at the Plantronics controls yet but will over the Christmas season. Without question if I pump for these or any others you have tried I will definitely use your link to Amazon.
Cheers again Gavin. 🙂

The Plantronics have all the controls. Another option is Sony MDR-10BT. Probably more comfy slightly. Best overall for comfort are Sony MDR-1BT and for excellent sound quality. But expensive.

Thanks Gavin. I look forward to reading more and picking one. I’ll let you know which one I go for in the end. 👍

Thanks Gavin…. I’d just sat down to have a read of the Plantronics reviews on Amazon.
Looks like I’ll shift that to the Sony’s first the. Go back to Plantronics.
Got the timer going and watching the countdown clock 👍

Main difference IMO. Sony more comfy and natural sounding. Plantronics have a stronger bass line. Both good.

Yeah, I’m here there and everywhere between the two.
Rather like the range and auto On/Off with the Plantronics but base sound is not my desire, especially as it’s my treble hearing that has seriously dropped.

Whichever I choose they will be used 100% for Podcasts and movies.

Sony are more comfy. Plantronics easier to control device. Hard choice tbh

What range again did you manage to achieve with the Sonys Gavin?
I do a lot of stuff outdoors and the podcasts help pass the time away.
I don’t keep the phone on me when in the garden so being able to maintain communication and listening to audio would be good.

20ft. Plantronics go further. Much further.

20ft!! I take it you mean 20mtrs.
I thought the Plantronics though went much further. Obviously I misread that bit. Taa

Yes metres. Sorry. Plantronics held link from one diagonal end of the house to the other. Crazy good in that regard.

Cheers Gavin. It’s looking like these based on range. 👍

Also, the controls on the Sony may be a little cumbersome when wearing gloves.

They will be. Don’t need gloves with the Plantronics.
